Primary Schools Group Lessons & Ski Hire
Stirling Experience has operated the backcountry ski hire for over 25 years and commenced the Backcountry Ski School on the mountain. The education in our community is a very significant and respected part of our business and we are proud to support Primary & Secondary schools, and Tertiary Colleges using the mountain with concession rates on ski hire, ski school, accommodation, transport and educational programs.
Introduction to Backcountry Skiing
Mt Stirling Backcountry Ski School offers a special discounted introductory package to encourage young children to experience Backcountry Skiing at an affordable price. These programs are specifically tailored for children aged between 5 and 11 years old, providing instruction through group games and focus on fun and enjoyment in our wonderful natural environment.
Value For Money Package Includes:
- Full day backcountry ski equipment hire
- A formal class ski school lesson (Maximum 10 students per group)
- Games and on snow activities
Students are welcome to bring their own lunch and snacks to eat in our warm Visitor Centre or these can be ordered in advance from the Mountain Café.
The Primary School Learn to Ski Package is inclusive of all ski hire and ski school charges. Staff and assistants are FOC at the ratio of 1:8. Mountain 4WD bus transport between Mirimbah and TBJ is available at an additional cost (School bus parking at Mirimbah is free).
